Meet your photographer

I grew up watching my parents go through their old family photo albums. I loved those moments where we weren't scrolling or swiping or staring into a screen. We sat down, turned pages, and they told stories that started with "I remember when" and ended somewhere much deeper. Those times never left me. And it's a big part of why I do what I do now.

My name is Leander, but most people call me LJ. I'm a wedding and family photographer based in Richmond, Virginia, and I believe that photographs aren't decoration. Your photographs are documentation of a life that's been fully lived.

Loving people like Christ, paying attention to what matters to them, and showing up with intention is how I attempt to move through the world. When you work with me, you're not hiring someone who shows up, shoots, and disappears. I'm in your corner before the first inquiry is answered and long after the final gallery is delivered.



When I'm not behind the camera, I'm usually writing my next screenplay, serving at Kingdom Life Church, or somewhere making memories with my own people.
